Asia is the home of all the world's major religions - Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Bahaism, Shintoism, and yet others. Inevitably too, these religions have had a tremendous impact upon the development of the visual and performing arts, providing some of the repertoire through the legends and epics, providing occasions for performances as well as determining their very nature and structure.
